Interim Crit - Feedback

What I need to do...


  • Make my visuals, and the name of the perfume and the perfume bottle all link together because my images are putting across one message which doesn't fit with the name. 
  • The graphics for the bottle has to be done again because it is not strong enough and doesn't read as a perfume bottle. Look at other brands.
  • Reconsider the lay out for my customer profile boards.
  • Look at the retail point of sale.

Final Design of Perfume Bottle



The fragrance will be named after a process known as a hermetic seal, which is a way of sealing a watch in an airtight manner. ‘Hermetic I’ will be the name of the first mans fragrance. Hermetic meaning seal and closure or complete and airtight “a hermetic seal that ensures perfect waterproofing” The Roman numeral ‘I’ suggest that like all Rolex watches this fragrance might only be the first instalment on many different scents to be released. The body of the bottle is inspired by a combination of the Rolex bracelet and a men’s figure, and the top half of the bottle is a combination of an overview of the Rolex case.

Graphics For My Product

I have a graphic designer who has recently started working with on me, helping me with the graphics, I sketched up some designs for the perfume bottle and we have sat down and went through a lot of designs and things to consider and looked at inspiration from Rolex website and Rolex youtube. I will be scanning some sketches to upload on this blog.

Re-shoot

After looking through my images from the last shoot I have decided to do another photoshoot because a friend of mines has a Rolex Watch and it would be ideal to have my model where a Rolex instead a watch which nothing like a Rolex. I plan for the shoot to be next week sometime.

The magazine features articles on luxe design and culture, food, business and technology, style, music and books. It is pitched at a similarly upscale audience to GQ. Each month, Esquire Magazine features famous celebrities on its cover.

 
This is another magazine where rolex brand would sit well in, in terms of advertising.

Photoshoot Plan

I have the studio booked for Wednesday 12th, 12pm to 2pm, I will using a male model, he will be styled in a simple suit prefably black with a white shirt. I may use a female model aswell and do some intimate shots and show variety. I will experiment with different colour background, and do some post production.
